Dr Hafiz Muhammad Arshad

Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Arshad, is a PhD from University of Glasgow, UK. He started his professional career from Beaconhouse Head Office as Subject Specialist (English) in 2006 and was working as Teacher Trainer when he left Beaconhouse in 2011. During his stay in Beaconhouse, he conducted numerous training sessions and played important roles in designing curriculum of ‘The Educators’, a project of Beaconhouse School System. He developed and worked on training modules focusing on training of Pre-School Teachers (Early Childhood Education) and development of Curriculum Resource Packs (CRPs). Before this, Dr. Arshad completed his two Master Degrees i.e. MA English (Literature) from Department of English Language and Literature, University of the Punjab and MA Education from Institute of Education & Research (IER), University of the Punjab. Due to his excellent academic background and professional experience, Dr. Arshad was offered PhD scholarship by University of Education, Lahore through a highly competitive process. He went abroad and completed his PhD in Education from the prestigious Institution, University of Glasgow (UK), a highly ranked university in the world. After completing his PhD, he joined University of Okara in 2018 as a Lecturer (BS-18) and was, later on, selected as Assistant Professor of Education. Dr. Arshad’s areas of research interest include English Language Teaching, Teacher Education, Language Pedagogy, Learning through Group Work and other Activity-based Teaching Methodologies, Collaborative and Cooperative Learning and Classroom Practices in Schools.
